Welcome to the Chair of Development Economics and Global Health at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Göttingen. We are dedicated to advancing knowledge in the field of development economics and global health through rigorous research, innovative teaching, and impactful policy engagement. Our research focuses on understanding the complex interplay between economic development and health outcomes, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. We employ a variety of methods, including randomized controlled trials, natural experiments, and econometric analysis, to identify causal relationships and inform policy. We work closely with partners from academia, government, and civil society to ensure that our research is relevant, rigorous, and impactful.
