Chris is a Fellow at CeMIS, Doctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Economics, and member of the Research Training Group 'Sustainable Food Systems'. His work is concerned with the impact of climate change on the livelihoods of poor households. Before starting his doctoral studies, Chris submitted his master's thesis at CeMIS on the topic of 'Market Access among Fishing Communities at Pulicat Lake, Southeast India.' His bachelor's degree in Economics and International Development was obtained at the University of Sussex, in his homeland of the UK. Chris is interested in fields such as Development Economics, Agriculture, Environment, Blue Economy, and Global Health. He will be working on analysing the impacts of climate-induced extreme weather events on livelihoods, health, and food security. He has a longstanding interest in South Asia, having researched in Nepal and India, so will naturally continue this geographic focus in future.
